PCAOB Chair Olson to watch new CPAs take oath

Maryland's new CPAs will be sworn in on June 16 in front of one of the profession's top regulators.

Mark W. Olson, chair of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, will attend the swearing-in of new Maryland CPAs on June 16. The event will be held following Day 1 of the MACPA's annual Maryland Business and Accounting Expo at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Olson was named PCAOB chair in July 2006, overseeing a board created by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to protect investors by overseeing the auditors of public companies.
